Do you ever find yourself in a situation where you put yourself in the other person’s shoes, or reality, and just go with it?
An example.
After one of my Hawaiian culture youth programs, a few years ago, I asked the pre-k audience if there were any questions.
A boy raised his hand and asked, as he pointed to his wrist, “Do you like my watch?”
I said, “Yes, I do! That’s a fine watch.”
The contrast of this non-relevant question greatly amused me, as do many comments made by kids.
However, it was the next comment that really threw me.
A boy raised his hand.
Me: “Yes? What’s your question?”
Boy: “Do you like my watch, “he asked, “even if I don’t have it on?”
And he pointed to his empty wrist.
What realities have you put yourself into?
