Active Aging: Programs for Seniors

Discussing American artist Georgia O’ Keeffe.

ART TALK

This program is suitable as a series. At each session we’ll discuss a painting, artist or genre.. Afterall, what actually is Dada, anyway? And why was the Mona Lisa really smiling? This program is guaranteed to get everyone talking.

GOING BACK TO MY LITTLE GRASS SHACK

Seated Hawaiian hulas for Seniors! Bring the sights and sounds of Polynesia to your next event as Holly shares classic Hawaiian standards, sing alongs and stories for a vibrant and interactive program. Many of the dances are done seated, just like the seated hulas, or hula nolo, that many learn in the Islands. By including the seated hulas, enjoyment isn’t limited to mobility, as many guests will be able to participate in the hula fun.

BALLOON ART: CRITTERS, GIFTS, DECOR

Balloon art is colorful fun! After learning a few basics, you’ll surprise yourself as you create a sculpture suitable as a centerpiece, holiday decor, or even jewelry. Balloon art projects can be predetermined. All supplies included.

TOP HITS & POP CULTURE

1958 was a very good year…

In this guided program we’ll enjoy listening to some of the top hits (and maybe some from the bottom!) and chat about what was popular (and not so popular!)

This lively program always engages, gets everyone talking (or singing!) and leaves everyone smiling :o)
